Make a QR code for your Google review link
A Google review QR code is just your review link stored as a square of dots. A customer points a phone camera at it, the phone opens the link, and Google shows the box where they write the review. You need two things: the correct link, copied from your Google Business Profile, and a generator that turns that link into a clean image you can print.
The QR Code Generator on this site takes any text or URL, up to 2,000 characters, and returns a black-on-white PNG between 64 and 512 pixels square. You can add a small logo in the middle. The code is static: the link is written straight into the image, so there is no redirect on our side, nothing to renew, and no expiry. The other side of that is that there are no scan statistics, and you cannot change where a printed code points.
Step 1: copy the right review link
Sign in to the Google account that manages the business, open your Business Profile, and choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews (some accounts show Ask for reviews instead). Google shows a short link, usually in the form g.page/r/ followed by a code and /review. Select Copy. That link opens the review form directly, which is what you want on a printed card.
Avoid the plain Google Maps address of your listing. It opens the listing page, and the customer then has to find the Write a review button themselves. Open the copied link on your own phone once before you make the code, and check that it lands on the right business, especially if you manage more than one location.
Google already offers a QR code. Why make your own?
Google's help pages say the review screen can also produce a QR code, but only in a computer browser, not on a phone. If that one fits your needs, use it. Making your own is useful when you only have the link (for example a manager sent it to you on WhatsApp), when you want a specific pixel size for a design, or when you want your logo in the centre.
Size, logo and print tips
- Size: pick 512 px, the largest option, for anything you will print. A common rule of thumb is that a code can be scanned from about ten times its printed width, so a 3 cm code on a table tent suits a phone held at arm's length.
- Logo: the logo is placed in the centre at about a quarter of the code's width, and the code switches to its highest error correction so it can still be read. In our tests every logo code decoded. Use a simple, high-contrast logo and keep it small.
- Format: the download is a PNG, not a vector file. For a poster, place it in your design app and scale it up without smoothing, or keep it at a modest size. Leave the white border around the code in place; scanners need it.
- Colour: the generator only makes black on white, which is the most reliable combination anyway.
Where to put the code
Put it where people already wait or pay: next to the card machine, on the receipt or invoice footer, on a table card, on a delivery bag sticker, or at the end of a thank-you email. Add one short line such as Enjoyed your visit? Scan to review us on Google, so people know what the code does before they scan it.
Keep it honest. Google's policy forbids offering discounts, free items or other rewards in exchange for reviews, and it forbids asking only happy customers. Ask everyone, and let them write what they actually think. Customers need to be signed in to a Google account to post a review.
Make the review QR code
- Copy your review link from Google Business Profile (Read reviews, then Get more reviews or Ask for reviews).
- Open the QR Code Generator, paste the link into Text or URL, and set the size to 512.
- Optionally choose a PNG or JPG logo, then select Generate & Download to save qrcode.png.
- Scan the downloaded image with your own phone and confirm it opens your review form before you print.

FAQ
- Does the QR code expire?
- No. The review link is written directly into the image and nothing is hosted or redirected on our side, so the code keeps working as long as Google keeps the link working.
- Can I change the link after I print the code?
- No. This is a static code. If your link changes, make a new code and replace the printed one.
- Can I see how many people scanned it?
- No. The generator does not track scans. If you need numbers, watch the review count on your Business Profile.
- Will a logo stop it from scanning?
- With a logo the code uses the highest error correction level, and our test codes with a centre logo all decoded. Keep the logo simple and scan the download yourself before printing.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no signup, and the PNG has no watermark.
- Is it allowed to offer a discount for a review?
- No. Google's policy prohibits incentives for reviews and treats them as fake engagement. Ask every customer and do not reward them for posting.
