GoToolsOnline provides a suite of free online tools — including image compression and resizing, background removal, PDF merge, split, compression and editing, QR code generation, word counting, JSON formatting, Base64 encoding, hash generation, colour selection, and a large number of additional utilities. Files you submit are processed in real time by the server and, for the vast majority of tools, are held only for the duration of the request. Output is returned to your browser and the server-side copies are released shortly afterwards. The service is advertising-supported through programs including Google AdSense. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Smallpdf, iLovePDF, Canva, or any other third-party brand referenced anywhere on this site.
GoToolsOnline is not legal, medical, financial, tax, or professional advice of any kind. When we provide a calculator — for example the tax calculator, currency converter, or aspect-ratio calculator — the output is a general-purpose informational estimate, not a formal recommendation. Before relying on any calculated figure for a binding decision (a tax filing, an investment, a contract, a medical choice, a legal submission) you must consult a qualified professional licensed in your jurisdiction. The tools are designed to save time on routine tasks, not to replace expert judgement.
The site is also not a file-hosting, file-backup, or long-term storage service. You should never use any tool here as the only copy of a document you care about. Keep your own backup before processing and retain your own master version afterwards. If a request fails mid-processing, the output may be unrecoverable and we will have no server-side copy to return to you.
Each tool category has inherent limits you should understand before relying on its output.
Compression tools (image compressor, PDF compressor, video compressor) are typically lossy. They reduce file size by discarding detail the human eye or ear is less likely to notice. The compressed output will not be bit-for-bit identical to the original. For archival, legal, or forensic use where exact fidelity matters, keep the uncompressed master.
OCR and text-extraction tools (PDF to text, extract text from image) use optical character recognition that can misread characters, especially on low-resolution scans, handwriting, stylised fonts, tables with merged cells, or non-Latin scripts. Expect a non-zero error rate and proofread the extracted text before using it.
Format converters (PDF to DOCX, HEIC to JPG, CSV to JSON, etc.) translate between container formats. Some features of the source format may not have an equivalent in the target format and will be dropped or approximated. Complex layouts, embedded fonts, macros, and colour profiles are especially prone to drift.
Calculators and generators (tax calculator, password generator, QR generator, hash generator) produce output using published algorithms and publicly documented rate tables. Rates, formulas, and standards change; we update them on a best-effort basis but make no guarantee the values are current for the date and jurisdiction that matters to you.
If you process content created by someone else — images, PDFs, audio, video, text — you must either own the rights, have a licence from the rights-holder, or have a defensible fair-use / fair-dealing basis under the law of your country. Copyright rules vary substantially across jurisdictions, and what qualifies as permitted use in one country may be infringing in another. You agree not to use GoToolsOnline to remove digital rights management, to strip watermarks placed by lawful rights-holders, to process child sexual abuse material, or to process any content in violation of applicable law. We cooperate with valid legal requests from law-enforcement authorities.
GoToolsOnline references third-party products, file formats, and standards by name solely for descriptive and interoperability purposes. PDF and Adobe are trademarks of Adobe Inc. Microsoft, Word, Excel, and related names are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. JPEG is a standard administered by the Joint Photographic Experts Group. Output quality will vary with input quality. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upstream outages, or traffic spikes, and we do not guarantee continuous operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, rate-limit, or discontinue any tool at any time without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoToolsOnline and its operator, Ben Praveen J, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, lost revenue, business interruption, or reputational harm — arising from your use of or inability to use the service, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory. Our total cumulative liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which for the free tier is zero.
