What is PDF to JPG?

Convert every page of a PDF into a JPG picture of that page. You can set the resolution from 72 to 300 DPI (150 is the default). JPEG quality is fixed. A one-page PDF downloads as a single JPG. A longer PDF downloads as a ZIP with one JPG per page. The file is uploaded over HTTPS for the conversion and then discarded. There is no account and no watermark.

How to use PDF to JPG

  1. Open PDF to JPG and upload the PDF.
  2. Set the resolution if you want something other than 150 DPI. Allowed values are 72 through 300. There is no separate quality slider and no way to pick individual pages.
  3. Click Convert to JPG. One page comes back as a JPG. More than one page comes back as a ZIP.
  4. Open an image before you post it. To convert only some pages, split the PDF first and upload that shorter file.

Why use this tool?

Use this when a form, chat, or page wants an image and will not take a PDF. The result is a picture of the page, not editable text. Higher DPI makes a sharper and larger file. It does not turn a scan into typed text.

PDF to JPG is for showing a page where a PDF will not open: a chat thread, a slide, or a website that only accepts images. Each page becomes its own JPEG. If the document has one page you get one file. If it has more, you get a ZIP of those files.

Resolution is the only control. 72 DPI is a small screen-sized picture. 150 DPI is the starting point. 300 DPI is the largest option and the one to try when small print has to stay readable. None of these settings extracts the words as text, and none of them lets you skip a page. Split the PDF first when you do not want every page.
